Anesthesiologist

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets

MedVet Medical & Cancer Center for Pets is currently seeking a board certified or residency trained anesthesiologist to join our expanding anesthesia team in our Columbus, Ohio practice. Our collaborative culture and focus on continuous quality improvement present the opportunity to be part of a distinctly satisfying organization. We are seeking an individual that is team oriented and has excellent communication skills with fellow colleagues, staff, and the referral community.

Founded in 1988, MedVet is one of the largest veterinarian-owned multispecialty and emergency practices in the country. Three of MedVet’s Ohio medical centers (Columbus, Cincinnati & Dayton) were the first AAHA Accredited Specialty Referral hospitals in the state of Ohio. MedVet Columbus was named the AAHA Accredited Referral Practice of the Year for 2014 and MedVet Cincinnati was named the AAHA Accredited Referral Practice of the Year for 2016.

MedVet Columbus has a high volume, well-established surgical practice and the anesthesiologist would join this surgical group. MedVet Columbus has a designated anesthesia team consisting of a board certified anesthesiologist and registered veterinary technicians that provide anesthetic care for all specialties within the hospital including: surgery, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and neurology. MedVet has an established clinical trials program that facilitates clinical studies for individuals interested in pursing research opportunities. The large volume and diversity of cases is an ideal population from which to sample for various avenues of clinical research.

Additionally, an IDEXX reference laboratory is located within our facility, enabling rapid return of diagnostics and providing on-site, face-to-face access to both clinical and anatomical pathologists.
