Appointment will be made either at UE07 or UE08 level depending on experience.
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (or Clinician) in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia to the current team at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. The successful applicant will contribute to the provision of clinical anaesthesia in the School’s Small Animal and Equine Hospitals, including a share of the out-of-hours work. Flexibility in working hours will be required.
You must hold a veterinary degree and, at the time of appointment, be registered with the RCVS. Ideally, you will have postgraduate experience in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia and will hold an appropriate Diploma, or have recently completed either a European College approved residency programme or an equivalent residency programme. People with extensive clinical anaesthesia experience will also be considered.
You will contribute to the delivery and assessment of our BVM&S undergraduate degree programme as well as to postgraduate training and education programmes. You will be given the support you require to develop your clinical interests and research ambitions from a campus with strong collaborative links. We also welcome applications from candidates primarily focused on developing a career as a clinical anaesthetist, with a proportionately reduced emphasis on research.
