The Division of Small Animal Clinical Science is seeking to recruit dynamic, motivated individuals for the following posts. 

Professor. The successful candidate will provide academic, corporate and strategic leadership in the Small Animal and Equine Hospital referral service by further developing the School's expertise in Veterinary Anaesthesia. The role will involve leading high quality clinical research and research-led education in partnership with other divisions and institutes within the College; driving the strategic expansion of the SAH academic developments, and delivering a high quality service to referral small animal patients.

Senior Clinician / Clinician. The ideal candidate(s) will hold a Diploma or equivalent qualification (Senior Clinician) but a residency-trained colleague due to sit exams will also be considered (Clinician). The post offers a significant element of 'off clinics' time for research and scholarship (including exam study). The role will also involve the delivery of an innovative program of clinical teaching to undergraduates alongside interns and residents.

You will be based at the Garscube Estate, 10 minutes' drive from the vibrant and cosmopolitan West End of Glasgow, yet less than 30 minutes from the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park with unparalleled access to the outdoors. 
Our well-equipped, state of the art referral hospital is serviced by over 30 clinicians, 28 residents/interns, 40 nursing staff and 11 administrative staff, supporting over 10 clinical specialities. In addition there is a busy first opinion out of hour's service supported by four clinicians and 14 nursing associated staff.

The University has an excellent pension scheme, and a generous supplement is paid for out of hour's work.

Professor salary from £61,179
Grade 8/9:  £41,709 - £48,327 / £49,772 - £55,998 per annum plus OOH supplement
