The University of Bristol welcomes applications for a Residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia starting 9th July 2018. The programme also includes enrollment for the Master of Veterinary Science (MSc). The programme will prepare you for the certifying examination in the speciality of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia as well as providing an introduction to clinical research by completion of a Masters in Veterinary Science. You will spend the majority of your time conducting clinical duties in the Small Animal and Equine Referral hospitals of Langford Vets as part of the Anaesthesia service. This will include anaesthesia, analgesia and post-operative care (including intensive care) of patients entering the referral hospital under the supervision of board-certified (DVA, ECVAA, ACVA) anaesthetists. You will also undertake weekend and weeknight duties on a shared rota and be closely involved in teaching and assessing veterinary students and veterinary nurses during clinical rotations.
