Internship in Veterinary Anesthesia
The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences at Oklahoma State University is offering a one year clinical internship in veterinary anesthesia. The intent of the program is to provide a graduate veterinarian opportunity to gain greater experience in anesthesia of small and large domestic species and exotic animals in preparation for practice, application for a clinical residency program or advanced graduate studies. This program is devoted primarily to participation in the anesthesia service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. However, 6-weeks of out-rotations will be available depending on the interests of the intern. Participation in training of veterinary students and after hours emergency cases will be expected.
A DVM degree or equivalent and eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma are required. Salary will be $26,500/year. Benefits include two weeks annual leave and one week during the Christmas/New Year holidays, health insurance and sick leave.
