The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH)
The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH) is a progressive referral center providing emergency and specialty care for the thriving Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina. We are searching for a second anesthesiologist to join our existing anesthesia team.
We are also searching for a locum anesthesiologist to support the growing caseload of our existing anesthesia team. Specialties represented at VSH include:
• Internal medicine
• Medical oncology
• Critical care
We are committed to expert, timely, collaborative, and compassionate care provided in a supportive and friendly working environment. VSH consists of three facilities within proximity and a combined medical and administrative staff of nearly 200 employees. Three radiologists support the other specialty services with on-site ultrasound, 64 slice CT, and 1.5T MRI. Antech staffs a laboratory with four on-site clinical pathologists at our main location.
The anesthesia team at VSH is comprehensive and possesses the staff, equipment, and facilities to allow for an anesthesiologist to practice best medical care. Three boarded critical care specialists support our anesthesiology service. Case discussion and collaboration is commonplace and encouraged. We have a highly skilled and medically knowledgeable team of anesthesia nurses dedicated to supporting the service. Three anesthesia nurses currently have VTS certification in anesthesia and two more nurses are in the process of applying.
About the Area
VSH is in a gorgeous and growing area, with North Carolina beaches and mountains just a short drive in either direction. With world-class museums, historical districts, award-winning breweries, dining and music, the area has endless opportunities for entertainment. We understand that quality of life is essential to our team’s success, so we strive to create a work environment that allows our associates to enjoy their time both professionally and personally.
