Location:  Burlington, Guelph and Remote

Institution:  Burlington Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital, Hale Veterinary Clinic

Together, Hale Veterinary Clinic and Burlington Veterinary Emergency and Referral
Hospital are seeking a part-time board-certified Anesthesiologist to join our team. We are
looking for a hybrid of remote and on-site support to help our growing patient care needs.
At Hale Veterinary and BVERH, we work closely with other board-certified specialists to
assist in providing protocols, monitoring and support during procedure for our patients. We
are looking for an anesthesiologist who is excited to help shape our practice, elevate the
standards of anesthesia and analgesia within our hospitals, and contribute to a team that
is as compassionate and thoughtful as it is clinically sharp and efficient.
As appointment-based specialty practices, the majority of our cases are planned in
advance, allowing for thorough pre-op preparation and supported recovery. There are no
mandatory holiday shifts, and options for on-call may be available, but not mandatory.
Our workflow consists of prepared medical records for review and creation of individual
protocols as well as support of team remotely during procedures. More complex cases will require on-site support. At times, urgent last-minute cases may arise, requiring problem-
solving, quick thinking, and the exceptional expertise we trust from an Anesthesiologist.

You’ll work alongside a team of Board-Certified Dentists, Neurologists, other specialists
and specialty residents, who are supported by experienced RVTs, including those pursuing
their VTS, and skilled veterinary assistants.

relationships as an anesthesiologist to the diverse caseload. This is a vital role in creating
and implementing anesthetic and analgesic plans across various departments, including:
• Surgery

WHAT WE OFFER:

preferences, with options for full-time or part-time work for selected candidates.
• Professional licensing and membership fee reimbursement
• Generous CE allowance and additional paid time off to attend CE
• Salary is commensurate with hours worked, whether in a full-time or part-time
capacity, and reflects the expertise required for this high-level specialist position

REQUIREMENTS:
• DVM/VMD, eligible for Ontario veterinary license
• DACVAA, or residency trained and board eligible
