The VSCAN is seeking a full-time ACVAA/ECVAA anesthesiologist or residency-trained and board-eligible veterinary anesthesiologist to join our rapidly growing team.
We are a busy, privately-owned practice which is built around a collaborative culture.
The successful candidate will join another ACVAA anesthesiologist and a team of other specialists, MRI/ Digital Imaging Technologist and highly skilled and dedicated support team of Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants.
The successful candidate will join the current anesthesiologist to share management of a growing anesthetic caseload provided by the VSCAN (neurology and imaging), the Ottawa Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital (emergency, dentistry, soft tissues and orthopedic surgery, dermatology and ophthalmology) and by general practices in the area on a needed-basis.
The successful candidate will also provide advanced anesthesia training to our associates and technicians, and help meet the high demand for continuing education by the referring community within and outside of the practice. An enthusiastic approach to training and education is a must.
A successful candidate has a strong background and interest in small animal anesthesia and pain management, outstanding communication skills and will strive to provide high level of care that our patients, their owners, and the primary veterinarian have come to expect. We value the positive relationships we have nurtured with our referring hospital base and work as a team to maintain our outstanding reputation in the community.
This position offers time flexibility and part-time position can also be discussed.
Requirements:
ACVAA or ECVAA anesthesiologist or residency-trained and board-eligible anesthesiologist and clearance to work around 1.5T high-field MRI.
The selected candidate must obtain a license to practice in Ontario (Canada) from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.
Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
