Residency in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in Davis, California starting August 1st 2025: 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We seek 2 enthusiastic and dedicated individuals interested in anesthesia to apply for our 3-year ACVAA approved residency program. This program is designed to provide advanced clinical, non-degree, post-doctoral training in anesthesiology and pain management.

The University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is consistently ranked amongst the best in the world. The anesthesia service includes 20 highly trained veterinary technicians, 5-6 residents, 9 ACVAA diplomates and 1 residency trained faculty. Our caseload (close to 5000 cases/year), its variety and complexity, coupled with excellent facilities and resources, provide ample opportunities to develop advanced knowledge and skill sets essential to the practice of veterinary anesthesiology.

 

Candidates who are not US citizens should be eligible for a J1 scholar visa (and at the time of application not be subject to holds, bars or in-country rules) or a TN visa. For more information, please see visit: https://www.vetmed.ucdavis.edu/education/internships-residencies/foreign-applicants.

Applicants will be required to complete an application form, submit a letter of intent and curriculum vitae. Applicants should also arrange copies of transcripts, English language scores (if applicable) and three (3) letters of reference.

In person visits are encouraged but not required.
