Location: Albuquerque, NM
Institution: Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico
Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico, LLC is seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist or ACVAA Residency-trained Veterinarian to join our team. The practice is a multi-doctor, privately-owned AHAA-referral accredited facility with an active dental residency program. At VDOSNM, we strive to maintain a positive, fun work environment where our employees can excel in a supportive setting. We desire a skilled, assertive, and compassionate specialist who works well as part of a team. The ideal candidate is passionate about gold standard medicine and improving the quality of life of our patients. Excellent client relations as well as building relationships with the referring veterinary community and teaching are a plus (through our continuing education business, Practical Veterinary Dentistry, LLC).
Our clinic is growing and expanding! In March 2025, we will be moving into a newly renovated 14,000 sq ft building in Albuquerque, NM. The building is shared with a privately-owned Emergency and Specialty Center, but VDOSNM has just over 3500 sq ft of dedicated space, including a separate lobby, 5 consultation rooms, eight procedure stations and a sterile surgery suite. Advanced technology and progressive medicine are an integral part of our clinic’s everyday practices. All our LifeWindow anesthetic monitors and dental charts are iPad-integrated, allowing us to be a paper-light practice. We currently have our anesthesia monitored by RVTs and work closely on a part-time basis with a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist. Now we need someone full-time! We are centered around providing gold standard care while providing our staff with a reasonable caseload to provide a good work-life balance. We pride ourselves on training our staff so that they can be utilized to their fullest potential.
New Mexico is high desert with a moderate climate, constant sunshine and abundant array of outdoor activities throughout all four seasons, including snow sports! It offers diverse cultural experiences and a lower-than-average cost of living. The clinic is open Monday-Thursday, allowing ample time to enjoy activities and life outside of work. Our employment package includes a competitive salary with bonuses, full benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation and CE time, continuing education stipend, annual scrubs allowance, license and association fees, and a monthly gym membership allowance. A sign on bonus and relocation fees are included!
You are encouraged to apply if you are a Veterinary Anesthesiologist dedicated to achieving the highest level of medicine and ethics, possess excellent communication, teaching and leadership skills, and want to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to helping animals and clients as well as other veterinarians and their staff.
