Anesthesia Emergency Clinician
The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University (VHC) invites applications for a clinical, term appointment as the Anesthesia Emergency Clinician (AEC). The AEC provides after hours emergency service and teaching for anesthesia of small and large animals. Candidates must hold a DVM degree or equivalent and have experience with general anesthesia and/or emergency practice in veterinary patients. Continuing Education or advanced training in veterinary anesthesia is desirable but not a requirement for this position. The AEC will work with senior faculty, house officers and technical staff. The AEC will be responsible for supervising the anesthesia of after-hours medical and surgical emergencies presented to the VHC. The VHC has approximately 160 small animal and 40 large animal cases per year that require anesthesia after hours. The distribution of effort for the AEC will be predominately after-hour clinical service with the opportunity to contribute to lecture and laboratory teaching.
