Position Summary
The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University is excited to invite applications for a faculty position in Anesthesiology. We welcome candidates interested in full-time or part-time opportunities and are open to creative scheduling that supports work–life balance.
This can be up to a 12-month academic appointment available at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are particularly interested in individuals — or teams of individuals — who are enthusiastic about providing in-person didactic instruction to second-year veterinary students in anesthesia. A clinical service commitment in our teaching hospital is optional, allowing applicants to tailor their role to their strengths, interests, and availability.
Appointments are highly flexible and may be adjunct, tenure-track, or clinical-track, depending on the candidate’s experience, goals, and desired level of engagement.
Required Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Completion of an anesthesiology training program with board certification (or eligibility) through ACVAA or ECVAA
- Demonstrated experience teaching veterinary students in a clinical setting (strongly preferred)
- Eligibility for NJ veterinary licensure required only if clinical service will be performed (not required for didactic-only roles)
- NJ CDS permit (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Salary Range: In compliance with the State of New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $166,400. When extending any salary offer, Rowan University considers many factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, work experience, education, training, key skills, internal equity, as well as market and other organizational considerations.
