We are in search of an Anesthesiologist who can work alongside other specialists to provide collaborative care in a positive, collegial manner. The VMC is currently an 18,000 sq ft hospital (with plans for expansion underway) that offers 24-hour emergency in addition to Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Radiology, Cardiology, Nutrition, and Critical Care. In addition, within the VMC exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center. Should you have an interest in pain management, an anesthesiologist would be a great addition to CARE (not a requirement of the position, but if interested, we should explore this further).
We are looking for an anesthesiologist to lead well-trained anesthesia technicians, to assist with creating and revising anesthesia protocols, and to ensure all anesthetized patients continue to receive the best care possible. We are moving towards a centralized anesthesia service – just awaiting the right anesthesiology candidate to join us. We provide strong support for the learning and introduction of new services, enabling an individual to create a unique niche that suits him or her both professionally and personally. We offer state-of-the-art equipment (various invasive and non-invasive multi-parameter monitors, newly updated ventilators, updated anesthetic machines, 16 slice CT, ultrasound), and are eager to hear what more we can do to help the growth of the team. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients. Future ownership potential is available, as we plan to remain a private entity.
