The opportunity
We have had a part-time anesthesiologist for several years and are now ready to grow this into a full-time service. We are looking for a board-certified anesthesiologist to build and lead that service — providing expertise, clinical leadership, and mentorship to a dedicated and experienced nursing team.

Our specialist team spans emergency and critical care (6), internal medicine (3), surgery (2), oncology (2), radiology (2), dentistry and oral surgery (2), ophthalmology, and advanced interventional radiology and endoscopy. We also have a robust ECC residency program. You’ll have access to excellent tools and technology, a diverse and complex caseload, and a clientele that is motivated and able to pursue the best possible care for their animals.
High-acuity work and a caseload that will challenge you
The clinical work at CUVS is substantive. Our caseload spans complex surgical and oncologic cases, advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, and critically ill patients. Anesthesia here is not peripheral to the work; it is central to what makes high-level cases possible.
Anesthesia at CUVS is supported by a criticalist-staffed ECC department operating 365 days a year, a strong and experienced nursing staff including many VTS-credentialed technicians, and robust interdepartmental collaboration. We understand and appreciate the specific needs of each specialty, and we work with our specialists to build optimal service models.
