Safe Harbor Veterinary Anesthesia Support is seeking board certified or residency trained anesthesiologists to join a mobile veterinary anesthesia practice that provides a range of on-site anesthesia support services to veterinary practitioners around the state of Florida. This rapidly expanding company is privately owned by a veterinary anesthesiologist who is dedicated to supporting the veterinary community around the state of Florida by providing high quality anesthesia services and elevating the standard of care of patients within the perioperative period. To succeed in this mission, Safe Harbor Veterinary Anesthesia Support offers a range of services to veterinary practitioners including direct patient management, consultation, and on-site continuing education and staff training.

 

Candidates will succeed in this position if they exhibit professionalism, flexibility, patience, and a willingness to build collegial relationships with veterinarians and their staff. No two days are the same and candidates should be comfortable providing specialty-level anesthesia services for a range of procedures in diagnostics, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, dentistry, soft tissue, and oncology for multiple species, although small animal will make up 90-95% of caseload. Candidates should expect to become familiar with a wide range of veterinary equipment and should be willing to think creatively outside the box when needed. Individuals should be committed to advancing knowledge in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia through education of veterinary personnel in the form of on-the-job staff training, equipment demonstrations, or continuing education events.

 

We are seeking individuals who would be interested in serving the needs of several veterinary practices within a smaller region of Florida. Candidates willing to relocate to regions near West Palm Beach will be favored, although individuals willing to relocate to other regions of Florida are still encouraged to apply. Our practice can offer tremendous earning potential, compensation for travel, and a flexible work week with no required weekend or on-call duty. Although candidates committed to long-term appointments are preferred, those willing to provide transitory service, including short-term locums, are also encouraged to apply.

 

Basic qualifications include:

  • DVM eligible for licensure in Florida
  • DACVAA or residency trained and board eligible
  • Proof of professional liability insurance
  • Drivers license
