Veterinary Emergency + Referral Center (VERC) is looking for an Anesthesiologist to join our team here on the island of Oahu. Home to world famous beaches, centuries of unique culture and gentle weather, Hawaii is the change of scenery you are looking for. Our hospital sits in the heart of downtown Honolulu and delivers 24-hour emergency and specialty care.
The successful candidate will be a residency trained (board-eligible) or board-certified anesthesiologist, motivated, and energetic. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing the anesthesia department which includes working closely with the surgery department planning and running anesthesia for routine and critical surgical procedures, developing anesthetic plans for critical patients, providing consultations for referring veterinarians, training veterinary technicians, overseeing maintenance of anesthesia equipment, and providing anesthesia support to other services in the hospital.

VERC thrives on teamwork and collaboration to deliver exceptional services to our patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.
Our exceptional staff includes specialists in critical care, cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, oncology, and radiology, as well as experienced emergency veterinarians. Our plans for 2021 include an update to our facility, the addition of a board-certified neurologist, and the installation of a dedicated veterinary MRI.
Currently, VERC is proud to provide 24-hour emergency and critical care, CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house laboratory services, endoscopy, (including laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and arthroscopy), fluoroscopy, and off-site MRI.
