BluePearl in Waltham, MA is seeking a full-time board-certified or residency-trained veterinary anesthesiologist to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.
Our BluePearl Waltham hospital, located in the Boston metro area, is a 16,000-square-foot advanced care facility. Our board-certified specialists include dermatology, internal medicine, radiology, surgery, anesthesiology, emergency and critical care. Diagnostic capabilities at our Waltham hospital include laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, arthroscopy, a phacoemulsification system for cataract surgery, and a CT scanner.
The anesthesiologist has access to an ultrasound for nerve and fascial plane blocks, peripheral nerve stimulator, acceleromyography, multiparameter monitors with invasive blood pressure monitoring, high-flow nasal oxygen therapy, and in-house lab capabilities including blood gas and viscoelastic testing. Anesthesia machines include rebreathing and non-rebreathing systems and are equipped with mechanical ventilators.
