The Hospital for Veterinary Surgery, a new surgery-only practice in New York City, is seeking a full-time board-certified Anesthesiologist to join our team. We are excited to be opening this summer in our newly renovated space. This is a unique opportunity to join a new surgery-only practice and to help build and grow the anesthesia team.
You will be joining a team of two surgeons, an overnight veterinarian and a wonderful clinical team of LVTs (including some VTS tracking LVTs) and veterinary assistants. We will be seeing a broad range of surgical (orthopedic and soft tissue) and anesthetic cases. Located on the Upper West Side of New York City, our fully renovated space includes 4 large dedicated ORs (soft tissue, orthopedic, minimally invasive), Philips Ingenuity 128-slice CT scanner, OEC 9800 plus fluoroscopy C-arm, Mindray anesthesia equipment, full in-house labs, quiet recovery area and all new equipment. Our overnight veterinarian and overnight team provide comprehensive post-op care to ensure close monitoring and nursing care prior to discharge. We are an appointment-based surgery practice with scheduled cases, and so there are no weekend, on-call or holiday shift requirements.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- DVM/VMD, eligible for New York veterinary license
- DACVAA, or residency trained and board eligible
