Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego (VSHSD) is looking for full-time board-certified or residency trained Anesthesiologist to join our team.
The Hospital:
VSH is a 24-hour state of the art emergency and specialty hospital with two locations in San Diego County. Specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Dermatology, Advanced Imaging and Emergency & Critical Care. All of our Specialties are well supported by an outstanding group of dedicated and professional Technicians and Client Care staff.

Our highly skilled and motivated veterinary team works as a collaborative and collegial group to provide optimal care to our patients and their owners. Specialty interests, both in clinical practice and in research, are supported and encouraged. We have a very active teaching program for externs, rotating interns, specialty interns, and residents.
The Equipment:
Our hospital has a 1.5T on-site MRI unit, a 64-slice CT, two DR digital systems, Canon Aplio 700 ultrasound unit, Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound unit, Sonoscape S9 mobile ultrasound used for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, Mindray Z6Vet portable ultrasound, a digital fluoroscopy unit, and GE 9800 C-Arm with neurovascular package, fully integrated PACS, nerve stimulators, a full complement of endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and an on-site reference lab with a full-time Clinical Pathologist hosted by Zoetis. The six operating rooms, ICU and ER are equipped with multifunction bed-side monitors with capabilities for direct pressure monitoring and anesthetic gas and O2 measurement.
