The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure- or clinical-track, assistant/associate/full professor position in Anesthesia. Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree and must have completed residency training in Anesthesia by the time of employment. Time will be allotted for ACVAA Board preparation for non-boarded applicants.
Applicants will be considered for employment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor based on academic experience. The successful applicant will join an enthusiastic and experienced team consisting of three ACVAA-boarded anesthesiologists, 1-2 residents and 5 anesthesia nurses. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, residency training, and support the scholarly and academic missions of the department and VHC. Details and responsibilities of the position may be tailored to the applicant’s interests and goals. The starting date is negotiable. Professorial rank is based on academic experience and accomplishments commensurate with departmental guidelines for each academic rank. Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
