We offer an exciting opportunity for an Lecturer, Veterinary Anaesthesia ($94,056 – $110,981) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU).   The full-time, continuing appointment is based at our on-campus veterinary teach hospital at JCU in Townsville.

What you can accomplish in the Role

You will have the opportunity to teach and assess Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) students in their third to fifth years whilst being involved in authentic clinical service delivery in our on-campus veterinary teaching hospital. You will contribute to the development and continual improvement of the veterinary science teaching programme, especially in veterinary anaesthesia.  You will have opportunity to initiate and participate directly in clinical research activity, with collaborative research strongly encouraged.

 What you will bring to the Role

With an enthusiasm and passion for Veterinary science you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary science or equivalent, and be eligible for registration in Queensland.  Your formal training in veterinary anesthesia and a strong interest in, and aptitude for, teaching veterinary anaesthesia will see you excel in this interesting and rewarding role educating the Vets of the future.
