College of Sciences Palmerston North Tāwharau Ora, the School of Veterinary Science at Massey University, Palmerston North, invites applications for the position of Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia within our Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH).
The Massey University VTH is a large multi-speciality veterinary hospital providing first opinion and referral services to New Zealand. Our veterinary student cohort size is in the process of increasing from 125 to 175 students per year, all of whom rotate through the companion animal, farm and equine clinics.
Description:
You will actively participate in roster-based teaching to our veterinary students in tutorial, practical and lecture formats.
The position is suited to someone with the experience, passion and drive to continue to take our anaesthesia team to the highest level of excellence. You will provide anaesthesia services to companion animal patients within our medicine, surgery, community practice, emergency and critical care and imaging departments, as well as for our contracted services (which include dentistry, dermatology and cardiology) and also our equine surgery patients.
You will also have the opportunity to engage in research activities in your chosen field.

Requirements:
You must hold a veterinary degree registrable in New Zealand and a specialist qualification in anaesthesia or eligibility. Salary and appointment level will be dependent on the skills & qualifications of the successful applicant.
