The 2021 ACVAA Diplomate business meeting was held virtually on September 25th.
The Meeting began at 12 noon (EDT) with a welcome by the President, Dr Colin Dunlop, with an acknowledgment of all our sponsors. This was followed by the Chair of the ACVAA BOD, Dr. Berit Fischer, who presented some of the issues of BOD business of the past year. Then, committee chairs spoke of the current issues presented in their reports, Dr. Grimm presented an overview of the certifying examination, and Dr. Dunlop ended the discussion with an over view if the ACVAA and Foundation finances. Following these presentations were questions and discussions. The meeting ended at 2 :45 PM. The ACVAA business meeting was attended by up to 78 diplomates, with 16 of those diplomates attending from outside the USA.
The Awards ceremony preceded the ACVAA business meeting. The ACVAA abstracts which were presented in person at IVECCS on September 12, were discussed and the abstract awardees were announced. Then the ACVAA President’s award and ACVAA Career Achievement award were presented by Dr. Dunlop. Each awardee, Drs. Tranquilli and McDonell, respectively, spoke.
